Welcome to the official website of Neil Innes & Fatso

It is hard to believe that 30 years have passed since we were all together in a TV show called 'Rutland Weekend Television.' Now that's about to change. . . Because we're back together again!

The 'genius' of Neil Innes cannot be described in simple terms. From music to comedy Neil has been at the forefront of these genres for over forty years. From 'Rutland Weekend Television' to 'The Rutles' to his close involvement with the 'Python' team, this is only a tiny part of his true talent. There's not enough hours in the day to highlight all his personal achievements. Neil is simply a 'legend.'

What can one say about the band Fatso?' The band were made up from some of the greatest musical talents that the UK has ever seen.

Legendary guitarist Billy Bremner has a musical pedigree as long as your arm. He's up there with the best and has worked with some of the world's top performers including Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Johnny Cash, Rockpile and The Pretenders to name but a few. Who can forget his memorable single from 1981 'Loud Music In Cars?'

Steel player and guitarist Roger Rettig has also legendary status in the world of music. He has worked with Tom Jones, Elmer Bernstein, Duane Eddie, Eden Kane, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown and many others. Now residing in Florida, USA, Roger is still on the road touring regularly with various shows throughout the States.

What can one say about John Halsey? Again he has worked with the best including, Joe Cocker, Grimms, Roy Harper, Georgie Fame, Joe Brown, and Joan Armatrading.

Bass player Brian Hodgson has also worked with the best. Including two 'Beatles' George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Albert Lee, Mike Berry, Lonnie Donegan & Van Morrison, Matchbox & Kirsty McColl and many others. He is a highly successful songwriter/producer and composed the 1989 'Song for Europe' winner. Brian co-wrote 'Shooting Gallery' with Tony Colton and the song was recorded by Shakin' Stevens. You can also hear this song playing right here on this site! Brian also produced Lonnie Donegan's final studio album.

Fuller biographies of all the boys can be found on the site.

So given the backgrounds and talents of Neil and Fatso, you can clearly see that a feast of entertainment is guaranteed.

So we are reforming again for a tour of the UK in October 2008 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. All the details about the tour and what we have all been up to since those halcyon days can be found right here on our website.

Each and everyone of us have many special memories from those days gone by and how can we ever forget working with the late ex-Beatle, George Harrison. The hilarious 'pirate' routine is still fondly remembered by all of us to this day! Some of those pictures with George can be seen in our Picture Gallery.

We're sure you all have your own particular memory of 'Rutland Weekend Television.'

So have a look around and enjoy the site and remember to come back and see us again . . . real soon!
